As a child I grew up in rural Virginia and had free run of the outdoors and as a result have always been fascinated by plants and animals and their surroundings. It was fortunate that back then we had an excellent art program in our school where I got a lot of encouragement from my art teacher to expanc};and developed an early interest in art. Through the years I have painted off and on, depending on family circumstances and since moving to Ramona in 1986 have painted constantly. I took art classes through local schools and different work shops and have been a member of the Olde Ramona Hotel Gallery since 1988. Mostly I work in oils, doing a variety of subjects, usually local landscapes and animals of the world.
